For your walls

Classic art prints for your walls

This part of the site is about classic art prints I would actually consider having in my house, and why. Not a long list of everything for sale, just a few prints chosen with care.

I already live with one. I have a large print of Caspar David Friedrich's Wanderer above the Sea of Fog at home, so this part of the site is personal too.

A painting you see once in a museum is an event. A print you see every day becomes part of the room. So I will look at more than the image: the size, the paper, the colours, and whether a painting still works when it is not on a gallery wall.

These are the guides I am working on:

  • Classic art prints I would actually hang (coming soon)
  • Affordable art prints in the UK (coming soon)
  • Vintage art prints worth framing (coming soon)
  • Turner sea prints (coming soon)
  • Constable prints that are not The Hay Wain (coming soon)
  • Mucha prints and posters (coming soon)
  • Pre-Raphaelite prints for a moody room (coming soon)
  • Sublime landscape prints (coming soon)

A note on affiliate links

Some future links in this section will be affiliate links. If you buy through one, I may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. I will mark those links clearly, and I will only recommend prints I would hang myself.
